What are some facts about you and your family?
I’m married to Tina and we have three children: a son, Rome, and  daughters, Mercy and Edith. We have been married for over ten years. We love coffee, gardening and punk rock music.

In your own words what do you get paid to do?
I get to inspire, encourage and execute artistic expression within the Genesis community. This ranges from Sunday morning worship gatherings to late night rock concerts, from screenwriting to sound production… and everything in between. I also have the awesome opportunity of leading, networking and empowering our compassion partners. Each partnership we hold has an advocate within Genesis, this makes up the compassion team. This team is fired up, passionate and inspirational. In addition, Tina and I provide pre-marriage/marriage counseling and life transition/recovery support to our community.

Why do you work at Genesis?
In all of my vocational experiences I have not experienced a more vibrant, mutually respectful and challenging environment. Genesis pushes me to excel and grow beyond my current abilities.

What are you passionate about?
Watching for the kingdom of God advancing and then jumping in alongside what God is already doing. I love serving the forgotten, loving on the lonely and being a voice for the voiceless.

What is one of your greatest memories from a ministry experience?
One of my greatest memories in ministry is leading homeless, addicted men through Genesis chapters 1-3. Through this in-depth verse by verse study, these men had spiritual “A-Ha” moments one after the other. It was great to see them finding freedom, courage and strength to address their mental, emotional and spiritual demons.

What are you learning right now?
God is teaching me about authenticity. Being real with Him and community.

What is your best memory from your schooling?
I love psychology and philosophy. What I have found most exciting is the real time use of both of these schools of thought in everyday counseling opportunities.
